Research Interests
Primates have always been fascinating to me. Through my PhD, a large set of genomic data was generated from mostly non-invasively collected samples of wild orang-utans to investigate their evolutionary history, genetic diversity and population structure. The purpose of my research is not only to contribute to conservation measures for one of the most endangered great apes but also to help to understand primate evolution.
